One of the first collaborations between Mafak Media and photographer Muhammad Almasri made him visit the desert by night and testing out precision and performance of the ALPA camera system.
He worked with ALPA 12 STC Silver Edition which includes Hasselblad CFV 50 C II digital back and Rodenstock / ALPA HR Alpagon 4.0/40 mm.
As an architectural photographer, I don't get many opportunities for photographing historical architecture. However, in June I had the opportunity to try out the ALPA 12 STC camera in Jordan, and due to the strong performance of medium format cameras at night, I ceased the moment and photographed Qasr Al-Harrana along with the Milky Way in the background.
The panoramic shot consists of 6 images merged by using Photoshop. It might come as a surprise that this panoramic image is shot with zero focal distortion; the sensor of the Hasselblad CFV 50C of ALPAs amazing camera is the key.
I was very impressed with the camera’s performance at night. This photo is my first attempt at photographing historical architecture along with the Milky Way in the same composition.” - Muhammad Almasri
Muhammad Almasri is an Architectural Photographer, Award-Winning Fine Art Artist I SIENA+IPA WINNER I +28 INT. AWARDS
