"The work of an architectural photographer is to translate the core idea behind the three-dimensional architectural work into two-dimensional visual poetry that speaks to the hearts and minds of the viewers.” - Seraina Wirz

Architectural photographers serve as narrators, translating the language of architecture into compelling images that convey the beauty, functionality, and intricate details of the built environment.

"It is important to me to understand architecture as a place where you live"

Seraina is particularly interested in the interaction between the architecture and its natural or urban context.

The photographic representation of places in series that resemble cinematic sequences characterizes her way of working. Thus, the viewer is able to gain a comprehensive understanding of the place.

"I often look for a perspective at eye level, so that I can capture the view of the person who might live in the house."

“I not only show architectural work but also want to inspire to see the world from different perspectives, to imagine the possibilities that lie ahead.”

"I have been using the ALPA 12 MAX for over ten years to photograph all my commissioned work in the fields of architecture, art, and landscape."

"The robust quality and intuitive handling of this camera allows me to focus solely on the location and the moment. With the Rodenstock lenses I am guaranteed high quality and wonderful results.
My ALPA equipment is my reliable and irreplaceable partner on all my short and long journeys in the service of architecture and art.
I consider it a great stroke of luck that I became familiar with the Alpa 12 MAX many years ago thanks to Heinrich Helfenstein."
