Roland Halbe studied photography at IED in Cagliari, Italy, and has been a freelance architectural photographer since 1988. He has been a co-founder of Artur Images, Europe's most extensive picture library for architecture photography, in 1995. His work is represented there since then.
Roland Halbes's work has been shown internationally in group exhibitions at prominent galleries in Germany and Spain. He was the commissioned photographer for the exhibition On-Site: New Architecture in Spain held at MoMA in NYC in 2006. Roland Halbe has been the official photographer of TCA Louvre, Abu Dhabi, in 2017 and of Qsar al Hosn cultural center, Abu Dhabi, in 2018. His photographs are published in all major architecture magazines such as Casabella (IT), Architectural Record (USA), Architectural Review (GB), Interior Design (USA), Detail (GER), Bauwelt (GER), El Mercurio (CL), A+U (JAP), Blueprint (GB), Architektur aktuell (A) and by many architectural book publishers like TASCHEN, Phaidon, Thames & Hudson and others.
His client list includes Morphosis Architects, Zaha Hadid, Richard Meier, Jean Nouvel, Odile Decq, Santiago Calatrava, Coop Himmelblau, among other important architecture firms. Roland Halbe lives in Stuttgart, Germany. Jennifer Buehling and Ingrid Forster run his qualified back office studiomanagement.
