Architectural Photography in Digital Medium Format

New perspectives on historic ground.

Once a vital gateway to West Berlin, Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL) witnessed decades of aviation history before closing its doors in 2020.

Last week, its former airport grounds became the setting for our ALPA Workshop in Architectural Photography.

‍

A place once defined by movement and departures invited us to slow down, observe, and explore architecture through a different lens.

Working with digital medium format and ALPA's precision camera systems, we explored the relationship between light, geometry, structure, and perspective.

‍

Beyond the technical possibilities of shift movements and high-resolution imaging, the workshop was about something more fundamental: taking the time to see, understand, and consciously compose an image.
