Photogrammetry and Cultural Heritage photography have high demands regarding resolution and alignment. With the ALPA add|metric II we designed a camera that allows no tolerances.

The ALPA add|metric II was developed in cooperation with Viospatia for the project “Ancient Images”. The objective of the project is to digitize picture of of the Gotlandic picture stones thus to make them accessible as 3D models in an online database.

The ancient stones date back to a time around 400-1150 AD and offer a unique glimpse in the life of human beings during the iron-age: art, tools, mythology, and religion - from the Migration Period through to the end of the Viking Age.
