La Serenissima ALPA Masterclass in Venice with Gianluca Federighi

The city that we could call a dream about water tells and unleashes in every corner a charm that has no comparison.

Venice hypnotises in the labyrinthine weaving of coves and canals, on its bridges, with the sumptuous palaces overlooking the Grand Canal.

Venice, beauty that has been forged in over a thousand and five hundred years of history during which they have taken place, overlapping, peoples, styles, domains, creating a perspective harmony that only the perfection of the chaos of creation can, perhaps, equal.This Masterclass will allow us to explore this magnificent city by focussing on the use of neutral filters and long exposures on the water both at night and during the day, we will move on foot and with the vaporetto, a typical public transport vehicle, we will also reach Murano and Burano and look for less touristic places of great charm. To participate you don't need to have a medium format camera, you can use any camera of any brand, there will still be the possibility to test hi-end material  and various medium format digital/analogue lenses and backs.

This Masterclass does not want to schedule a very precise agenda, but instead wants to focus on the search for the lights and the best opportunities given by the infinite locations full of charm that at the right time of the day can give infinite emotions and be immortalised, that's why we don't publish a rigid agenda.

There are 6 places available to keep the organisation streamlined, it is also possible to request other dates and with single-person teaching, this generally allows a masterclass where you can best deepen every topic related to the techniques to photograph this wonderful city.

The Serenissima Masterclass also includes night outings as well as at dawn, the city at night is calm and without crowds around and of great charm, of course being a masterclass with a free agenda we will sew it on all your needs.

The masterclass will be from November 20 to 23, 2026, a very interesting moment to avoid the crowd and focus only on photography and will include the accompaniment and teaching of Gianluca Federighi who will address all the aspects inherent to the various artistic shooting techniques with 15 years of experience in the field.

We recommend comfortable and layered clothing and hiking shoes so as to stay dry and warm, a stand, an LED flashlight, neutral density filters remote trigger cable and of course the camera.
